History
The National Academy of Civil Service (NACS) was formerly known as the "National Civil Service Institute" (NCSI), which was founded on July 26, 1999. Following over a decade of development, the organization has become a versatile training system with innovative thinking and practices. To establish quality civil services and integrate talent training resources, the National Academy of Civil Service Organizational Act passed the three readings in the Legislative Yuan on October 23, 2009, and was promulgated by the President on November 18 in the same year. On March 26, 2010, the NACS was officially established. Meanwhile, the "Central Taiwan Training Center" was established in the Zhongxing New Village, Nantou County.

Vision
To impose the development vision: “Stand for Excellence of Human Resource Development (HRD)”, the NACS formulates four strategies, i.e. “Optimize Civil Service”, “Construct Standards of Excellence”, “Create Learning Values”, “Lead in International Training”, and upholds the core values of “Service, Growth and Innovation”, as well as the spirit of “Proactive Vision, Pursuit of Excellence” to conduct its training programs.
