The Nation Academy of Civil Service (NACS) is a cradle of national civil servant cultivation. It is responsible for organizing mandatory training for civil servants, including Basic Training for Personnel Newly Passed the Civil Service Examination, and Rank Promotion Training, with over 10,000 trainees every year. The former training educate civil servants with needed basic concepts, administrative procedures and techniques, with over 5,000 trainees every year; the latter one assists trainees to acquire the appointment qualification for grade promotion, with over 4,000 trainees every year. In addition, the NACS organizes Take-Off Program for Senior Civil Service. Every year around 40-60 elites are selected to train and become pillars of our nation. Moreover, the administrative neutrality classes are arranged to propagate the ethics of civil servants, as well as values of attentiveness to duties, and administrative neutrality. Every year, based on operational requirements, over 600 trainees undergo such training.

In addition to the aforementioned mandatory training, the NACS also organizes diverse training courses, teaching over 7,000 people a year, as well as provides civil servants with multiple channels for further studies. Eminent trainees selected from the promotion training will be sent to overseas to learn successful stories of international counterparts. To enhance civil servants’ English capabilities, the NACS organizes the English class for globalization issues. And to encourage civil servants to practice life-long learning, we promote the “Book of the month” campaign, Designated book review writing contest, and Book of the month seminars, in the hope of expanding civil servants’ vision and cultivating their cultural literacy
